C.R. Woakes 11-102 v PakistanBack to boards

Despite England’s eventual defeat, the performance of Chris Woakes during the first Test versus Pakistan at Lord’s was certainly a positive after taking 11 wickets in the match.

With Pakistan deciding to bat in the opening innings, Woakes was on top-form taking six wickets for 70 runs despite a resilient hundred from Misbah-Ul-Haq as the tourists finished 339 all out.

England could only muster 272 in reply, but Woakes again starred with the ball in Pakistan’s second innings, taking five wickets for 32 runs to finish the match with impressive figures of 11-102 as he claimed three separate appearances on the Honours Boards.

Unfortunately for Woakes and England, Pakistan would go on to win the match by 75 runs. They did however, manage to draw the four-match series 2-2.
